USPA CIRCUIT: NEW RULES AND UPDATES
As part of our commitment to growing padel in the U.S., the USPA is introducing several updates for the 2026 season.
“Star Point” and other FIP Rule Changes.
Starting in 2026, FIP (the Global Governing Body of Padel) introduced a number of rule changes, including the Star Point system that will replace "Golden Point". These new rules will apply to all Premier Padel, Cupra FIP, FIP Promises, and USPA Circuit Tournaments.

New USPA 2026 Ranking Points Table
To better reflect year-round participation, we have updated our ranking methodology.
Best of 10 Formula: Player rankings will now be calculated based on your best ten tournament results over a 52-week rolling cycle, an increase from the previous best-of-seven format. The rankings will be used for seedings and as the Official Ranking.
The USPA Race: We are launching the "USPA Race," a calendar-year ranking (Jan 1 – Dec 31) that will serve as the exclusive qualification standard for the USPA Circuit Championships. The first USPA Race will be published in early February and weekly thereafter.
Updated Points Allocation: Points will continue to be awarded based on the Level, Division, and Placing in each tournament; however, the table has been updated for 2026. All ranking points from past tournaments will remain unchanged, but results in 2026 will be based on the new allocation.
Officials at USPA Tournaments
Beginning April 1, every USPA Circuit Tournament will include a trained official on site. As padel continues to grow in the U.S., this initiative helps elevate the overall tournament experience for players and host clubs alike.

HELP SHAPE THE FUTURE OF PADEL: APPLY TO SERVE ON A USPA COMMITTEE
The USPA is powered by a dedicated network of volunteers who play a vital role in the growth and professionalization of padel across the country. Serving on a USPA Committee gives members a hands-on leadership opportunity to shape the organization’s future, contribute their expertise, and make a meaningful impact on the sport.
